If anything’s overpriced it’s the base 14. You’re basically paying for a reduced iPhone 13 Pro, which is almost no different to a base iPhone 13. On top of that it’s a 60hz display. And it costs $799-$899. The 14 Pro starts at $999 and you get way more for your money. The 14 Pro is actually worth $999+.
A few scratches can be a £100 difference. They actually make screen protectors that are custom molded and precut to go around the round screen edges, have been doing it for many years on Samsung phones specifically. Problem is they are pretty pricey, like usually $50+ for a single protector.

Black Screen of Death. Anyone had a black screen of death on iPhone 14 (Plus/Pro/Pro Max) yet? I had one. The fix, as with older iPhones, (press volume up -> press volume down -> hold power until the logo appears) seems to work in most cases. According to some websites this should be a bug in iOS 16-16.0.2.

Not ideal, but 100% usable. Yeah last version apo compatibility is from like 2022-2022 with stuff messenger still on it's latest update. Security wise the latest patch was August 2022. Actually they didn’t even actually trade the phones in because they are only valued at $15 by AT&T.

It’s the most annoying thing in my life right now. This is probably the 3rd major issue I’ve had this year with Apple.

Yes, that’s how all non jailbroken sideloading works, unless your on a version supported by TrollStore you need to renew it every 7 days, if you use altstore you can refresh it before it expires letting you keep it forever so long as you remember to refresh it before the time is up.
